For my Daydream Video Project, I have two ideas in which I am still trying to decide which one I like more. My first idea for this project is I wanted to use a male college student between the ages of 19-21 and record a clip of him practicing getting better at his favorite hobby. I want to find a male that can skateboard or juggle with a soccer ball. My goal is to capture the frustration and excitement in his eyes when he either fails or succeeds when trying to land his trick. Then, similar to Alice in Wonderland, his skateboard or soccer ball will start rolling down the hill and as he runs after it he falls in a hole. This scene will be my transition, and as he falls into this deep hole he lands into a different world. A world where he notices he is trapped with creatures that aren’t regular animals we see on earth but creatures that you only see in fairy tales. As he walks around this new world he learns that these creatures also enjoy practicing his hobby (this will either be skateboarding or soccer). He walks into this new world very confused and concerned he will never return back to earth. The second idea I had for my Daydream project was I wanted to find either a female or male that is very passionate about playing musical instruments. If I am able to succeed I want to start off by filming him/her playing the instrument as he/she is playing the transition I want to create for the audience is a flash of what he is thinking when he is playing the instruments. My goal is to emotionally appeal to the audience and get them to feel what he/she felt playing the very first instrument in his/her life.
