For my DayDream Project my final video came out different from my original idea. At first, I wanted to create a video of an artist playing the piano and then show him daydreaming out of reality when listening to his music. However, instead my final video is about a skateboarder named Adam who has been working all his life to land the same trick as his professional role model. One day, while he is practicing outside he runs into his role model Brendan. His role model gives him a piece of candy to let loose and it takes them out of reality to a cartoon earth. While they are on cartoon earth Brendan gives him advice and makes him loose before trying again on earth. Adam and Brendan then come back on earth and Adam is able to land the trick he’s always wanted. While creating my final video I learned it was a lot harder than any other project we’ve done this semester and time consuming but also very fun. Overall, I personally think I communicated my message successfully and people will be able to understand the purpose of my video. In the future, if I were to do this project again I would make a video about myself. I would copy the movie 17 again but in different ways and create a daydream video of how it applies to me. It would start off as me being a college student but then wishing I could go back to my high school varsity soccer days and as I am staring at a picture my job manager would approach me and ask me if I want to go back. Then, I would transform into a cartoon and go back to my high school days.
